I took a chance because the description just says the pan is “plastic” and some plastic can be brittle and break easily. Fortunately it turns out it is in fact polypropylene so it is somewhat flexible. Important that it’s flexible so that you can maneuver the water heater into it without breaking it. And so that if something bumps into it later it won’t easily break it rendering it useless. The product is fine. Should add “polypropylene” to the description.
