It actually makes omelets easier and tastier. Rolling the eggs provides more surface to brown, so this results in extra crispiness. It's just the right size for a 2-egg omelet. And the fact that the pan is cross-wise to the handle makes it easy to tilt and manipulate for rolling. The metal is fairly think--not quite like cast iron, but not thin, as others have described. I think any thicker would make the pan too heavy. I also like the curved bottom. It allows you to direct the heat to direct the heat to one side of the pan or the other, which is useful during the rolling process. The coating seems very durable, and the ridges help roll the egg layers and the little spatula is just the perfect size for rolling. Narrower spatulas wouldn't work as well. It's a very neat and useful little device. So far, I have had no problem with sticking and the coating doesn't look like it will easily chip or peel off.The only comment I would make is that the handle is not metal, as one of the comments seems to say. It will scorch if you hold it too close to the flame, so this is not suitable for putting into the oven and more than any other pan with a plastic-composite handle. But I don't see any reason to put it in the oven. I just mention it here so others are not misled into thinking the handle is metal. It doesn't claim to be, and it isn't.
