I bought a gotham steel pan that I threw out after I suspected it of being a counterfeit. I have a copper chef pan I bought directly from them and everything sticks to it. But I have one old red copper pan and one new one. I can't tell which is which because they look identical. Nothing sticks to it and it can easily be cleaned.I have the 12 inch Red Copper skillet and I love it so I bought the 10 inch and 8 inch skillets. I have had no problems with food sticking, not cooking evenly, etc., and I have fried eggs in both skillets a few times. When I received the skillets, I put a little bit of vegetable oil in the skillet and rub it around the skillet with a paper towel and then I rinse it and dry it. The care instructions say to put it in the oven, but I have never done that and food cooks just fine.Perfect for a small dinner or breakfastI am expecting there are something new or upgraded from the old As Seen On TV frypanBut nope, this is still exactly same as the old orgreenic cheap frypan, changed colorI love using this pan. My eggs just slip right off. This pan was awesome. Nothing stuck to it. Until my husband used it for a kitchen science experiment, err, cooking, and scrubbed it. I tried to re-season it several times but it lost its mojo.We bought this 10" Red Copper frying pan and the 8" version on 12/31/2018. Both pans were properly seasoned upon receipt. Both pans have been in use now for 3 months by a cook with over 60 years experience (my wife). The pans are used on an electric, glass-topped stove. Both pans take much longer to heat up than any previous nonstick fry pan.Food burns regularly in the 10" Red Copper frying pan, even at lower temperatures. Not so much in the 8" Red Copper fry pan.To prevent burning, we have to use butter or oil to prevent sticking.Burned food is very hard to remove without scratching the pan.Reviews not withstanding, we would not buy these again.Update: 18 months laterNo change. Among the worse pans since Teflon was first used in pans. Can't wait to replace them. I may donate them to someone I do not like. This worked great at first-exactly as promised. I seasoned the pan as per instructions, but the third time I fried an egg in it, the PAM I sprayed on stuck around the edges and had to be scrubbed off with an emory sponge. Even the green scrubber meant for stainless steel was not up to the job. Fortunately, this did not do any obvious damage to the finish. Now I'm careful to spray only the pan bottom. Seems to work.
